Circular Textiles, from fast fashion to slow clothing with pride and glamour
Fashion is fast, linear and exploits our common resources intensively. Fashion ends up as waste and is only for about 50% re-used as clothing. The other 50% is for filling our land fills and fueling our waste furnaces. That can be changed by recycling fibres from non-wearable textile wastes, spin new yarns (enriched with local virgin fiber from wool, hemp and flax) from it and weave new textiles for high-design clothing. Art academies in the North Sea Region will create exciting opportunities!
